Fershawnda Green is the visionary founder and president of Poppin Plates Culinary Incubator, a dynamic platform dedicated to nurturing the next generation of culinary entrepreneurs. With over two decades of robust experience in the food service industry, Fershawnda has combined her extensive knowledge to empower emerging chefs and restaurateurs to succeed. Her professional background encompasses roles such as chef’s assistant, cruise line chef, and manager within various food service establishments.
Driven by her passion for culinary arts and learning, Fershawnda gained invaluable insights in both Front and Back of House operations. This breadth of knowledge has equipped her to effectively mentor and guide new food service brands in the competitive landscape of Chicago and beyond.
In 2018, she took a decisive step to further her impact by launching a Food & Beverage consultancy firm focused on aspiring entrepreneurs. Recognizing the unique challenges her clients faced, Fershawnda transformed her vision into reality by founding Poppin Plates Culinary Incubator in Park Forest, IL. Since its inception, Poppin Plates has not only supported the launch of over 65 new food service companies but has also facilitated the partnership and opening of over 20 brick-and-mortar restaurants, creating a thriving community of culinary talent.
